Talkeetna Sightseeing Tours and Activities

Talkeetna, with over 800 inhabitants, lies at the confluence of the Chulitna, Susitna and Talkeetna Rivers and is reached by a main road through George Park Hwy. Time seems to have stood still here - the atmosphere of the old pioneer days can still be felt - just a fortified road, old log cabins and houses. But Talkeetna is also a great starting point for expeditions by plane or on foot to Mt Denali. But some tourists think Talkeetna is the mystical 'Cicley' from the TV series 'Northern Exposure'. Visitors can see the Mt. Denali up close on a scenic flight that takes off from the local airstrip. Such flightseeing tours to Mount Denali and across the Alaska Range, many of them landing on a glacier, are breathtaking and every now and then you can even catch a glimpse of a group of climbers climbing to the summit. Popular are trips by riverboat or jet boat to Talkeetna Canyon, Devils Canyon, Chulitna and Tokositna River and often these boats are also used for fishing trips. Immerse yourself in the charm of Talkeetna with an overnight stay seamlessly woven into our breathtaking Alaska road trips and Alaska railroad tours, creating an enriched and unforgettable experience.

Stella, Boston: We had a great time and enjoyed our Denali Flightseeing Tour with glacier landing. The fly out service is professional, organized and very communicative. I'll give them a #1 in customer service. We were fortunate to land on the glacier due to weather improving over the last few weeks. Our pilot was top notch and in tune with us the entire trip. Highly recommend this group and experience.
